Rendell has become a svengali. Allentown’s Morning Call reports that our esteemed governor is appearing with Clinton at every single one of her public rallies in Pennsylvania.
Opponents are pissed that he’s not in Harrisburg … you know, working, and Democrats are pissed that he’s not helping to get state Dems elected.
But Clinton is happy to have him. Rendell been very helpful–his favorite advice is on the pronunciation of tricky Pennsylvania words like Schuylkill, Lancaster and National Media Whore.
Our esteemed prostitute- and affair-free governor/the biggest Hillary supporter ever admitted on Meet the Press that Clinton can’t actually win the election per se but she will win the election because that’s what’s right and good and if she doesn’t it’s ’cause the Obama cheated by having people vote for him.
Also, my mom thinks that Richardson’s facial hair is proof that he’s letting himself go, but I think it makes him look distinguished.

The poll added a question whether Geraldine Ferraro’s comments are racist. Only 23% 
of whites believed they were. Maybe Ferraro’s off-the-handle scream fest wasn’t so much one crazy, bitter lady who happened to be affiliated with Clinton’s campaign as it was at the very least a serendipitous misstep (or on-purpose accidental gaffe) that allows Clinton to make just the jab she needs to appeal to the beloved blue-collars in Pennsyltucky.
Not unlike Rendell’s now infamous lines:
“You’ve got conservative whites here, and I think there are some whites who are probably not ready to vote for an African-American candidate. The Clinton Campaign would like to focus your attention only on Pennsylvania — a state in which they have already declared that they are “unbeatable.” But Pennsylvania is only one of 10 remaining contests, each important in terms of allocating delegates and ultimately deciding who are nominee will be. Senator Obama campaigned in Pennsylvania yesterday and will do so again later this week, but he will also campaign aggressively in the other upcoming states — he will travel to other upcoming states in the very near future.
In an 11:30 am conference call, Gov. Rendell, Mayor Nutter and Prince Mark Penn held a conference call blasting Obama for “turning his back on Pennsylvania.”
“If someone on my staff wrote something like that,” says Nutter. “I’d fire them.”
