DMac over at Will Do informs me that my favorite presidential candidate Alan Keyes, most famous for not winning the 2002 Senate race in Illinois, was in town today:
Last year around this time, a bunch of people held a pro-gun rally at Harrisburg in response to people who were, uh, anti-gun. (Right?) It ended up being a controversial because there was a sign saying Rep. Angel Cruz should be “hung from the tree of liberty.”
KYW 1060, incidentally, calls him “a Philadelphia representative of color.”
So how to make sure this rally won’t be reported as controversial by the media? Why, hire a black Christian to be the keynote speaker! That’s right: “Presidential candidate” Alan Keyes spoke at the rally.
KYW 1060, incidentally, calls him “a noted conservative of color.”
